At Studio Wav, we make DJing & Beat Making simple, fun, and hands-on... no boring lectures, just real music creation from day one. Right now our small group sessions are limited to just 2 students each, so you can get plenty of attention while learning how to create legit beats or DJ sets like the pros.
About Us
East Austin native with a lifelong love for beats and music. From recording mixtapes off the radio to DJing, producing, and selling beats, Mike built his craft using tools like Fruity Loops, Splice, Omnisphere & more. Today, he’s passionate about giving kids, teens, and adults a safe and fun space to learn DJing + beatmaking, build real skills, and even turn creativity into income.

Beat Making Lessons
(Small Group: Ages 8-18 only)
Small group sessions (currently limited to 3 students per class — spots fill fast!) Come learn all the basics step by step. You can build a brand-new skill or improve the one you’ve started. Discover shortcuts to creating professional-quality beats without needing advanced training
Private Beat Making Lessons

One-on-one instruction for faster progress, tailored to your goals and learning style. Perfect for students who prefer focused attention or want to accelerate results.
DJ Lessons

Learn how to mix, scratch, and perform like a DJ. Confidence-building and tons of fun you'll learn everything you need from equipment to softwares to how to set them up and use them. For people who just want to fun hobby or those looking to make some extra money on the side!
Summer Camps

What ages are the sessions for?
Our sessions are designed for almost anyone! Group sessions are designed for teens & kids (ages 8–18). If you are over the age of 18 please book a private session. No prior music experience is required!
Do we need to bring any equipment?
Nope, not to learn! We provide everything needed for class. Students can start learning immediately without buying expensive gear. For those who would like to purchase their own softwares we will provide a list of all the things you might want or need.
How long are the sessions?
Group sessions run about an hour. Private lessons are an hour as well.
How much do sessions cost?
Private (1:1) DJ or Beat Making Sessions are $65 per session (1 hour). Small Beat Making Group Sessions (right now max of 3 people) are $35 per session (1 hour). Please note, the Small Beat Making Group Session is for children only (ages 8-18), if you are over the age of 18 please book a Private Session.
*You can receive a discount by booking 4 or more sessions at once. To book multiple sessions at once (for both private and small group) go ahead and book your first sessions and then either email us or text us to discuss the additional sessions. 512-966-3551
Brand new to music — is this still for me (or my kid)?
Absolutely! Our instruction can be beginner-friendly, of course depending on your skill level. We also help those who already have some experience take their skills to the next level.
